By road
Grindleton is located off the A59 Clitheroe to Skipton Road. From the West, take the left turning off the A59 road signposted Chatburn (and a brown sign to Shackletons Garden Centre). Turn right at the T-junction towards Chatburn village. In the village, turn left at the Post Office down Ribble Lane (signposted Grindleton). Cross the River Ribble over Grindleton Bridge. At the T-junction, turn right up the hill to Grindleton.
From the East, take the right turn signposted to Sawley. Go through the village and over Sawley Bridge. Take an immediate left and follow the road into Grindleton village centre.

Google Earth mapping (active)
This is an active map. You can switch from satellite image to road mapping, and terrain mapping (top right selectors). The controls (top left) enable you to zoom in and out, and drag the image. Google Maps help
provides more information.
Please note that Green Lane is a bridleway and accessible to residents only (and for much of its route it is a rough track), and that Higher Chapel Lane is a footpath and totally impassable to vehicles.
Local addresses
Navigation within Grindleton to find a specific house name can be tricky. Some addresses omit the road name. The Grindleton Conservation Area map
from Ribble Valley Borough Council is quite useful as it labels many of the houses in the village centre. Note that the map is Copyright © RVBC and was taken from here
